Stuart Murdoch was convicted of the murder of Anthony Laurie in 2016.
He was also convicted of the attempted murder of his lawyer in 2006.
Anthony Laurie had gone with a friend to a property where Stuart Murdoch was living to buy valium.
Whilst they were there Stuart Murdoch started to play with a stanley knife and boasted that he was a hard man and came from a rough area of Glasgow and he was selling drugs.
They then started to fight during which Stuart Murdoch stabbed Anthony Laurie several times with a knife.
